TERMS
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 5 October 2026. These terms govern your use of HalalCents (www.halalcents.com), an educational Islamic-finance website. By using this site you agree to them — please read them in plain English below.

🤝 Using This Site Means You Agree

HalalCents provides free guides and calculators about Islamic finance. If you browse, read, or use our tools, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please simply stop using the site. The terms apply to the whole site — every guide, page, and calculator.

📚 What We Are — and What We Are Not

  • We are an educational website that explains zakat, halal investing, riba-free banking, and related topics in plain English.
  • We are not scholars and not licensed financial, legal, or tax advisors. Nothing on this site is a fatwa, a religious ruling, or personal advice for your situation.
  • Where scholars differ, we report the different views fairly — we never pick a winner for you. See our Disclaimer for the full statement.

⚡ Calculator and Tool Terms

  • Our calculators produce estimates for learning, based entirely on the numbers you enter. Results are not final religious or financial figures.
  • Gold and silver prices change daily, and scholarly methods differ (for example, silver nisab is quoted as 595 g by some sources and 612.36 g by others). Different valid inputs can give different valid answers.
  • The tools run inside your browser — your numbers are not sent to us or to any server (see our Privacy Policy).
  • Before paying zakat or making any financial decision based on a tool result, please verify with a qualified scholar or advisor.

👤 Fair Use of Our Content

  • You are welcome to read, learn, and share — including quoting short passages with a visible link back to the page.
  • You may not re-publish our guides as your own, scrape the site in bulk, or use our content commercially without written permission.
  • You may not use our tools or site in any way that breaks applicable law.

©️ Copyright

The site design, original guides, and original tools are the property of HalalCents. Quran and hadith translations, scholarly works, and other third-party sources we cite remain the property of their respective authors and publishers, and are credited as such.

🔗 Third-Party Links and Advertising

  • We sometimes link to external websites (for example, sources we cite). We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or policies.
  • If we ever show advertising or affiliate links, they will be clearly labelled, and the Privacy Policy will explain what is involved. We do not currently endorse any financial product.

⚠️ No Warranty · Changes Over Time

Content is provided “as is”. Islamic-finance rulings differ between schools of thought, market prices move daily, and errors are always possible despite our care. We keep pages updated but cannot promise real-time accuracy. If you spot an error, please email us with the source — corrections are welcome.

🛡 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HalalCents and its authors are not liable for any loss or consequence arising from decisions made based on this site’s content, tools, or calculators. The responsibility for religious and financial decisions always rests with you and the qualified scholars and advisors you consult.

✉️ Changes to These Terms & Contact

We may update these terms from time to time — the date at the top always shows the latest version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms. Questions? Email us any time:
