- Nothing is uploaded — the calculator runs fully in your browser.
💵 Step 1 — Your money
Count money you still have today. Do NOT count the home you live in, your car, or household things — zakat is not due on those.
💎 Step 2 — Gold & silver
Weigh your gold and silver, then add today’s rate per gram. Personal jewellery? Scholars differ whether to include it — follow a scholar you trust.
📋 Step 3 — Debts you must pay soon
Debts due right now reduce your zakatable wealth. This is the last thing we subtract.
⚖ Step 4 — Two last questions
Then you see your result. What: nisab is the minimum wealth at which zakat becomes due — like a threshold. Why: at the Prophet’s ﷺ time it equalled 595 g of silver or 87.48 g of gold. Scholars differ on which to use today. What to enter: if unsure, keep silver — it is the more cautious choice (you are more likely to qualify to pay). But follow the scholar or organisation you trust.
